Sometimes, all a person needs is someone to listen.

As the Bookkeeper and Human Resource Manager at PTT Financial, Sandra Gonzales is often that person. Her many duties include recruiting and orienting new employees. She assists students with exam registration, fingerprinting and license application. She also handles bookkeeping, payroll, payables, agent commissions and ordering supplies. On top of all that, she provides agent support as needed and answers calls.

Before joining PTT, Sandra earned a general office clerk certificate at Texas State Technical College. She went on to work in the home health industry in human resources, billing and collections, where she was first exposed to insurance issues. She enjoyed being able to help employees get the coverage they needed for themselves and their families. It was gratifying for her to help employees know that their families were taken care of.

Now she enjoys working with the many agents at PTT, and helping them help their clients. Her insurance and home health knowledge comes in handy, as do her people skills. When anyone needs someone to talk to, she’s there to listen and to lend a helping hand.

Sandra lives in Harlingen, Texas. She is married with three sons, and she’s proud to say her oldest two boys are serving their country: one is in the Army, and another is going into the Navy. She also has three dogs. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and preparing meals.
